Our summary
What is AnyIP?
AnyIP â Smartproxy competitor â brings the heat when it comes to residential and mobile proxy services, offering extended sessions that keep the same IP for up to 7 daysâideal for those situations where you need consistent identity over a longer period. With a massive pool of around 100 million IPs, they bring to the table both steady sessions and rapid IP rotation, where your IP can swap out with every request.
The real beauty here is the flexibility in session lengthsâyou can dial it in anywhere from a quick 1-minute burst to a marathon 7-day stretch. And if an IP drops out, AnyIPâs got your back with an automatic swap for another from the same carrier and region, keeping everything seamless and natural. This setup is a hit with users running multiple accounts, especially when paired with antidetect browsers for extra stealth.
More standout features? Their proxy list generator. Unlike most proxy services that hand you a single endpoint, AnyIP lets you spin up as many proxy endpoints as you needâwithout hitting you with extra fees. Their pricing is purely based on bandwidth, making it super cost-effective for those scaling up their proxy game.

Their proxy lineup is spectacular: residential, ISP, mobile, datacenter, and even dedicated datacenter IPs, covering practically every corner of the globe. But they donât stop at just proxies. Smartproxy has already fully embraced the Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) model, creating a one-stop shop for all things data scraping.
Their Site Unblocker tool claims a 100% success rate when it comes to bypassing restricted sites with serious anti-bot defenses, which is a massive win if youâre dealing with tricky websites.

Types of Proxies & Their Features
First, about similarities. Both these providers, as well as many other AnyIP alternatives and Smartproxy alternatives, are alike in the IP types they offer (IPv4 and IPv6), protocols their proxies support, and IP rotation options.
Speaking of the differences, though, â Smartproxy vs. AnyIP â we see them in proxy types and geographical coverage: Smartproxy delivers a wider choice. However, AnyIP itself explains its narrower geographical focus by not wishing to waste its efforts on 100% of countries (which looks like a marketing ploy, rather) and instead covering only those locations clients are, in fact, looking to target.
And one more thing concerning the IP pool size. All is clear with that of proxy provider Smartproxy, whereas information about the AnyIPâs one varies. Its website says they have over 100 million, while other resources report different numbers from 35 to 50 million. I presume the point is in P2P networks, which explains these floating amounts. I mean if all 100MLN IPs arenât available here and there, it doesnât mean they arenât available at all. Iâd even say that floating numbers of an IP pool is a much more honest thing than any amount that is too precise. Therefore, even if itâs at the lowest side of the spectrum (35MLN), itâs more than enough to provide decent availability and diversity for tasks of any scale.

Which one is better in proxies?
That is exactly that frequent case when the answer depends on your needs. Yes, Smartproxy provides a wider choice of proxy types and geo-locations. However, it makes sense if you do need some rare proxies in some far corners of the world. And if you donât and your desires are pretty common, youâll find all you need at AnyIP.io.

Which one is better in extras?
Smartproxy, obviously. But then again, in this AnyIP vs. Smartproxy comparison, weâre not choosing the very best proxies or deciding who offers more services. Yes, Smartproxy â as an AnyIP alternative â provides more additional tools, but it matters only if you need some extras. Very many of my buddies donât, and this criterion doesnât add, although I cover it for a complete and unbiased picture.
Cases of Use
Any proxy comparison makes sense only if you know exactly what you need proxy servers for.
AnyIP â as a Smartproxy alternative â focuses on SEO and sneaker copping. Moreover, they successfully target some of the most complex platforms like Instagram, Amazon, X (Twitter), Telegram, and Reddit.
Smartproxy, on the other hand, engages in multi-accounting, price aggregation, AdTech, and AI.
And, of course, both of these best proxy providers deal with web scraping. So, think it through, and pick the one according to your use case â thatâs the very first and most important criterion, IMHO.

Which one performs better?
Iâd conclude that Smartproxy performs better; however, the performance metrics of AnyIP proxy solutions are more than sufficient to execute any task.
Please get me right; Iâm one of those who considers the best to be the enemy of the good. Plus, I always advocate assessing several criteria when choosing the best proxy provider. That is why if AnyIP proxy meets your needs regarding other points, rest assured its performance wonât let you down.
Both perform pretty well. But yes, Smartproxy does it a bit better.
Customer Reviews & Reputation
AnyIP reviews
On G2, AnyIP provider of proxies has 12 reviews as of this writing (4.8/5), with 10 of them being 5 stars and 2 marked 4 stars. Just like me, what customers valued the most was the price, user-friendliness, and proxy speeds.
Whereas its TrustPilot profile features 32 reviews (4.7/5), with only 1 customer having given them 4 stars, whereas all others marked it 5 stars. Itâs a rare case when I donât see any 1-star reviews, actually, as it might happen even if a user is merely disappointed for reasons beyond any providerâs control yet still marking it low. But now, it looks like AnyIP.io customers are happy indeed.
Smartproxy reviews
Smartproxy provider, on the other hand, got many more reviews on G2 â 182 in total (4.6/5), with different marks, yet most of which were 5 stars. I guess the most interesting positive feedback said its proxy servers work in those cases when other premium solutions donât.
Negative reviews were there, too, but none of them contained any specific complaints, except for the one, I presume, which mentioned âconfused billing flow.â
As for TrustPilot, thereâs another rare case with a pretty good deal of given feedback â 1,342, which results in an overall rating of 4.6 stars out of 5. As it often happens, the more reviews, the more diverse opinions customers claim. But as an example, for better understanding, Iâd like to dwell on the two negative claims.
One complained about refund issues, but later, it turned out the user paid with a cryptocurrency, and crypto-paid orders are not refunded (not only at Smartproxy but on many other, if not all, proxy websites) â this is clearly stated in advance, which the customer has probably missed. A 1-star review is there, nevertheless.
Another one reported some problems with its Site Unblocker. The customer support rep, though, explained back then that this tool had been launched a couple of months before and some issues might happen indeed. But they also replied that only successful requests were charged. So, it turns out that, yes, some problems might happen (it happens with EVERY proxy provider out there), but the customer, in fact, wasnât harmed that much as they werenât charged for unsuccessful requests.
Whose reputation is better?
For the time being, AnyIPâs reputation is better. Iâm not quite sure, however, whether or not it depends on the years of operation and, thus, the number of customer reviews. Perhaps when AnyIP reaches the level of Smartproxy, it will also encounter more negative feedback. Yet probably it wonât!
Anyway, if what other users share means much to you, now you know AnyIP hasnât been claimed; i.e., there are no unhappy users with poor experiences â everyone who tried AnyIP proxy services and reported about that is happy and pretty satisfied.
Pricing Plans
AnyIP
One of the cool things about AnyIP Proxy is the transparent pricingâthey charge the same for both residential and mobile proxies. Youâre really just buying bandwidth, so itâs up to you whether you want to use mobile or residential IPs. Pricing kicks off at $5 per GB for their smallest option but scales down to just $2 per GB for enterprise-level users.
As I said, the subscriptions are structured around bandwidth, starting with the Micro Plan that gives you 5GB for $25. From there, youâve got the Basic Plan (20GB for $80), Pro Plan (100GB for $300), and the Enterprise Plan (500GB for $1,000).
When it comes to payment methods, you can choose between credit cards or cryptocurrencies. Cryptoâs great if you want to keep things anonymous. However, keep in mind that going the crypto route means no refunds. Since thereâs no free trial, youâll need to test the service out by buying a plan. However, theyâve got a 14-day money-back guarantee if it doesnât work for youâjust skip crypto if you want that safety net.
Smartproxy
Frankly speaking, I donât like the pricing structure at Smartproxy because itâs pretty confusing. Judge for yourself: Some plans charge per GB, others per request, and still others by the number of IPs. And letâs not forget the Regular vs. Enterprise tiers that many web-scraping platforms throw into the mix, making it even harder to figure out whatâs best for your needs.
But still, I need to report on its prices so you can compare proxy providers.
Starting with residential proxies, their pay-as-you-go plan kicks off at $7 per GB. On top of that, every plan now comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you want to scale up, there are options like the 2GB plan at $6/GB, 8GB at $5.5/GB, 25GB at $5.2/GB, 50GB at $4.9/GB, and 100GB at $4.5/GB.
For those with bigger data needs, Enterprise plans range from 250GB to 5,000GB, with perks like a dedicated account manager. If you’re looking for even more bandwidth, you can hit up their sales team to customize something larger.
Now, if static (ISP) residential proxies are more your thing, you can either grab a dedicated plan or pay per GB/IP. Prices start at $14/GB for a 2GB plan, scaling down to $11/GB for the 50GB option.
Next, mobile proxy plans â from $8, datacenter proxies price starts at $10/month, dedicated datacenter proxies â for $2.5/month, and Site Unblocker plans kick off at $14/month. Each plan packs varying bandwidth and tools, and diving into those details would need a separate deep-dive review.
If youâre interested in testing their Scraping APIs or the No-Code Scraper, you can snag a one-month free trial that includes 3,000 requests. Custom trials are also available for residential, datacenter, and dedicated proxies, but theyâll ask for a bit of info about your company first.
Which one is cheaper?
Well, if you did read what I covered above about the pricing structures of both these providers, you shouldâve realized that itâs not only about prices themselves. It, frequently enough, might be a lot more about pricing transparency, simpleness, and mere convenience.
AnyIP wins here. Without any doubt. And yes, their proxy servers ARE cheaper, to top it all.
So, which one is right for you?
